Stories and storytellers have been around for thousands of years. Powerful stories allow us become engrossed in the drama of the narrative. We can relate to the characters but they are separate from us. This layer of separation breaks through defenses and helps people see things from a different perspective. Transformational storytelling uses the power of story to move the participants. It can be done individually or in groups. The Zebra and the Black Pony was written for transformational storytelling. Francesca will tell the story and teach the participants how to use this technique. She learned this technique from Michael Meade, (the noted mythologist and storyteller) during her studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
